
Our Background
Prairie River Home Care, Inc. evolved from Prairie River Inc., a company started in 1989 which provided personal care attendant services to disabled individuals. In 1996, Prairie River Home Care, Inc. became a licensed certified home care agency offering a broad range of services to individuals of all ages.
On November 1, 1998 Ken and Judy Figge acquired Prairie River Home Care. Between them, Ken and Judy have over 50 years of experience in home care. They founded and managed In Home Health, Inc., a publicly held company in Minnetonka, Minnesota until 1996. The company grew from a single site to 41 offices in 16 major markets. Revenue grew from $300,000 in 1981 to over $130 million in 1995.
The corporate office of Prairie River Home Care, Inc. is located in Buffalo, Minnesota. Direct client care and services are provided through a network of eight offices located in Fairmont, Hutchinson, Lexington, Mankato, Marshall, Rochester, Rogers and St Cloud. Prairie River Home Care provides services within 60 Minnesota counties.
Our Team
Judy Figge, a Registered Nurse (RN), is the Chief Executive Officer of Prairie River Home Care, Inc. Judy has extensive background in home care and home care management. Judy provides the company with strong leadership and vision to assist in the company's growth and to ensure excellent customer service.
Kenneth Figge is the President and Chief Financial Officer. His background includes law and accounting degrees as well as an extensive background in home care management. Ken's expertise guides the company to its financial and business goals.
Cathy Nielsen is a Vice President. She is a Registered Nurse and Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality. Her clinical knowledge and home care operational expertise allow her to fulfill her responsibilities for support of the branch and corporate locations.
Lori Seemann, RN, is a Vice President and has a background in nursing management and critical care. Her knowledge of information systems has been utilized in implementation of our new home care computer system which is currently used for staffing, clinical records and employee time management. Currently she is also exploring a point of care system for managing day-to-day patient care in the home.

Our employees are our most valuable assets. Therefore, we support the dignity, achievement and satisfaction of each individual employee. Our experienced caregivers provide services prescribed by the client's physician 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
Caregivers are matched with our clients based on their skills, qualities, and expertise. Caregivers are oriented to our "best practice" clinical and operational standards before assignment to their first client. Our Service Guarantee
If for any reason a client is not satisfied with our service, they are encouraged to call the Branch Manager of the site providing care. If the client calls within 24 hours of the time the caregiver reports to their home, they will not be charged for service that does not meet expectations. The company will also take any appropriate action necessary to remedy the situation.
